This year we welcomed a group of 11 participants from around the country to learn more about the parallels between the Stop Cop City Movement in Atlanta, GA and the settler colonial occupation of Israel on Palestinian lands.

The Hosanna Preaching Project, a program of the Israel-Palestine Mission Network of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), came into being in 2014 to challenge and equip preachers to engage the Israel-Palestine issue from a stance of Christian solidarity with the Palestinian people and utilizing the best contemporary theological resources.
In 2021 Hosanna expanded to include church educators as well as preachers, and teamed up with Black religionist Dr. Taurean J. Webb, Garrett Seminary. Webb’s ground-breaking curriculum, “Journeys Toward Justice”, originally prepared for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, will be the basis for our virtual conference this year.
The Hosanna Project brings together a nationally recognized teaching team with backgrounds in theological education, church history, parish ministry, church advocacy, and international organizing.
